Takes courage. To allow yourself to experience something, anything, everything, with that uncertainty. If it will be a happy ending or not. Happy endings with horses, palaces, fireworks, and a prince. Happy endings of being happy, peaceful, blissful. Most often they end in bottles of beer and buckets of tears and you, lying in a pile on your bedroom floor.

So I applaud you all. Those people with that kind of courage. To go and follow that thing, person, or job, that will make you happy. And with it, the risk of failing, hurting and getting broken.

I am a coward. I have safe bounderies. I can only do this because going beyond may hurt me. I can only feel up to this because if I feel more, I may end up broken again. I don’t want to try because I fear pain. I am not strong like some people think. I am so fragile but I am agile. If it can’t catch me, it can’t hurt me.

I need to try to be the Always Broken Goddess. I need to take that risk to break because that breaking will make me a prism. Reflecting light and color. Allowing me to become someone new. Choosing to be a new whole.

Or.. maybe. Just maybe.. I can finally have a happy ending.
